Posted on May 28, 2025 By ProHealthy Heart  https://prohealthyheart.info/ WAIPI'O Valley is one of the most beautiful & secluded places to go for a hike on the Big Island of Hawaii. My husband, our children, and I hiked down into WAIPI'O Valley.  This hike took us from the overlook into the valley, to the Black Sand Beach, and back up.  The total length of this hike was 6.5 miles including lots of vertical meters. This hike was not easy hiking back up, but it was well worth it. The shore line in the valley is a black sand beach, popular with surfers. A few taro farms are located in the valley. Several large waterfalls fall into the valley to feed the river which flows from the foot of the largest falls at the back of the valley out to the ocean. Amazing! It looked like paradise in the WAIPI'O Valley.

Whether I'm traveling for business or enjoying a much-needed personal getaway, I always make it a point to wake up early and witness this breathtaking moment.  As I step onto the balcony of my condo, the gentle rhythm of the waves greets me. The salty breeze carries a sense of renewal, a reminder that each day is a fresh start. I can already feel the first golden rays beginning to emerge. Shoutout to everyone who was a part of the 2025 Epson Tour Florida Swing -- Epson Tour Road To The LPGA -- IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture, which was played at the Alaqua Country Club in Longwood. ⛳️⛳️⛳️ And special shoutout to the winner, Gina Kim🥇 from North Carolina 🇺🇸. Golfers from many locations around the world, USA states ( Florida, North Carolina, Texas, etc. ) and many countries ( Sweden, Africa, Spain, Germany, Philippines, India, etc. ) traveled to Florida to compete in the golf tournament. My role: Central Real-Time Scoring Computer Operator. I had a blast!

Each step seemed to slow my thoughts, helping me to let go of the noise of daily life. I headed toward the iconic mailbox, tucked away among the dunes--a simple structure that holds the hopes, dreams, and stories of countless visitors.  As I reached the mailbox, I paused, taking in the wide expanse of sand and sea. The sun was beginning its slow descent, casting a warm, golden glow over the shoreline. The timing felt perfect, I opened my journal, letting my thoughts flow freely...

The combination of fresh ocean air, the sound of crashing waves, and the warmth of the sun kissing my skin created an unforgettable experience--one that left me feeling invigorated, grateful, and deeply connected to nature.  As I set out on my journey, the sky was a brilliant shade of blue, with only a few wispy clouds scattered like brushstrokes across a vast canvas. The golden sun, already climbing higher, radiated a comforting warmth that balanced perfectly with the gentle coastal breeze.
