Hope After the Storm: Standing With Jamaica in Faith and Love

My amazing husband KC is Jamaican and from Jamaica. And our hearts ache as we watch the aftermath of hurricane Melissa that swept across the beautiful island of Jamaica, as well as other caribbean islands in the path of hurricane Melissa. The destruction, the loss, and the uncertainty weigh heavily — yet even in the midst of the storm’s devastation, we want you to know: you are not alone.

To our brothers and sisters in Jamaica — we see your strength, your resilience, and your unwavering spirit. The world is standing with you, ready to offer support, prayer, and hope as you rebuild what was lost.

In moments like these, it can be hard to see past the debris and the darkness. But even now, God is with you. His love has not left you, and His hand is steady — guiding, comforting, and providing in ways that may not yet be seen.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.”
— Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)

This promise still stands.
Though the winds have roared and the rains have fallen, God’s faithfulness remains unshaken. He is present in every act of kindness, every helping hand, and every prayer whispered for healing and restoration.

As communities come together to rebuild homes, restore power, and renew hope, we are here — standing in prayer, offering aid, and believing that beauty will rise from the ruins. Jamaica, your faith and strength are an inspiration to the world.

Let us hold onto this truth: after every storm, God brings new life.
The same sun that now shines over the broken land will warm the seeds of renewal. Together, with God’s help, you will rebuild stronger, brighter, and more united than ever before.
